Welcome to Orange Coast College!

President Angelica L. SuarezI am honored to serve as the 11th president of OCC, one of the largest community college in Orange County and a leader in transfer to four-year universities across the state.

Since 1947, OCC has been at the forefront of higher education locally, nationally, and globally. The College has served countless students in reaching their academic and career goals, impacting multiple generations of families. This is a testament to not only OCC's world class facilities, extensive student support resources and stellar academic programs, but also to the dedicated and caring faculty, classified professionals and administrators, whose commitment to student success is consistently demonstrated.

Though our history is rich, the future beckons. OCC has undergone a transformative period focused on preparing students and the campus for the challenges and opportunities of the future. To that end, removing barriers that keep students from reaching their academic goals is a shared priority. True to this commitment, OCC is a leader in the state supporting a holistic student experience that includes student housing, the Pirates' Promise program, which provides free tuition up to two years to all first-time college students, with additional support provided through OCC's Financial Aid program and more than $600,000 in scholarships through the OCC Foundation.

As you walk around the campus, you will be energized with the vibrancy of student life and engagement. Students at OCC will also find a campus that distinguishes itself by featuring innovative and state-of-the art facilities, with recently completed construction on several new buildings such as The Harbour at OCC (Student Housing), Student Union, College Center, Kinesiology/Athletics Building, Aquatic Complex, Language Arts & Social Behavioral Sciences Building, and the Professional Mariner Training Center at our Waterfront Campus in Newport Beach.

And for students who are undecided about their goals? That's okay! OCC has dynamic and responsive  support services designed to get you on your educational path to achieving your goals -  whether it's to earn a degree or certificate, transfer to a four-year university or transition into the workforce. OCC is the place for you!

As you explore our website, you will notice that OCC is a global institution, where different cultures, customs and points of view are celebrated to create a campus that is inclusive, with a robust learning environment where our students can grow and thrive.

I look forward to seeing you on campus,

#GoCoast
